The Lion and the Boar

One summer day, many animals became thirsty because of heat. Then,  the Lion and Boar came at the same time at a small well to quench their thirst.

But they argued who should drink first. So they fiercely fight to determine who should drink first.

While they were fighting they both see many vultures looking at them and waiting who will go down first.

The Lion and Boar quickly stop their fighting and they knew that the vultures will eat one of them if they have a deadly injury. The two animals talk it over on who will drink first.

The Lion won and the boar give way and they become best of friend since.

Life Lessons:

Many will take advantage of the defeat of a person.

The Doctor

There was once a doctor who has been called for an urgent surgery for a boy.

While going to the operating room, he was confronted by the father of the boy yelling.

"Don't you know that my son's life is in danger? How can you take this long for an emergency case like this? How irresponsible of you? I bet you don't know the feeling cause you don't have a son" .

The Doctor trying to calm the father, smiled and say.

"I'm sorry I was not in a hospital. Calm down now. I'm here, I will do everything to save your son."

The Father of the boy still yelling.

"Calm down? How can I calm down if I don't know if my son will live or not. Put yourself in my shoe so you will know the feeling.

The doctor replied. " Just pray for your son. It will help him a lot".

After long hours of operation, the doctor save the boy's life and hurriedly leave.

The Father of the boy seeing the hurried doctor then said, "What an arrogant man? Never stopping just so I can ask for the status of my son."

The nurse then speak to the father of the boy after hearing his murmured then said,

"I will be in charge of your son and I will give you every status we have. We apologies if the Doctor who operated your son have to leave soon, it's just that he's son passed away yesterday and he's in the burial. We have to call him because of the emergency we have with your son.

The Father of the boy was shocked to hear that the doctor is in so much pain and yet still has the energy to help his son.

Life Lessons:

1. Don't think that you have a bigger problems. It may be little compared to others.
2. Be responsible and professional just like the Doctor.
3. Don't easily judge others if you don't know what they are going through.

The Fisherman and the Banker

A Banker standing on the pier of a coastal fishing village in Mexico watched as a small boat with just one young Mexican fisherman pulled into the dock. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. Enjoying the warmth of the early afternoon sun, the Banker complimented the Fisherman on the quality of his fish.
"How long did it take you to catch them?" the Banker casually asked.
"Oh, a few hours," the fisherman replied.
"Why don't you stay out longer and catch more fish?" the Banker then asked.
The Fisherman warmly replied, "With this I have more than enough to meet my family's needs."
The Banker then became serious, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
Responding with a smile, the Fisherman answered, "I sleep late, play with my children, watch ball games, and take siesta with my wife. Sometimes in the evenings I take a stroll into the village to see my friends, play the guitar, sing a few songs..."
The Banker impatiently interrupted, "Look, I have an MBA from Harvard, and I can help you to be more profitable. You can start by fishing several hours longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra money, you can buy a bigger boat. With the additional income that larger boat will bring, before long you can buy a second boat, then a third one, and so on, until you have an entire fleet of fishing boats."
Proud of his own sharp thinking, he excitedly elaborated a grand scheme which could bring even bigger profits, "Then, instead of selling your catch to a middleman you'll be able to sell your fish directly to the processor, or even open your own cannery. Eventually, you could control the product, processing and distribution. You could leave this tiny coastal village and move to Mexico City, or possibly even Los Angeles or New York City, where you could even further expand your enterprise."
Having never thought of such things, the Fisherman asked, "But how long will all this take?"
After a rapid mental calculation, the Harvard MBA pronounced, "Probably about 15-20 years, maybe less if you work really hard."
"And then what, seƱor?" asked the fisherman.
"Why, that's the best part!" answered the Banker with a laugh. "When the time is right, you would sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You would make millions."
"Millions? Really? What would I do with it all?" asked the young fisherman in disbelief.
The Banker boasted, "Then you could happily retire with all the money you've made. You could move to a quaint coastal fishing village where you could sleep late, play with your grandchildren, watch ball games, and take siesta with your wife. You could stroll to the village in the evenings where you could play the guitar and sing with your friends all you want."
"With all due respect sir, but that's exactly what we are doing now. So what's the point wasting twenty years?" asked the Fisherman.

Glass of Milk

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.

Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you?"

You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."

He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.

Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.

Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.

Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.

He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won.

Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words ...

"Paid in full with one glass of milk"

(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Monkey3: Don't fight. Let's settle this so that both of you can share the watermelon.

Monkey1 and 2: So what do we do then?

Monkey3: Let me cut the watermelon into two so you can share it.

After cutting, the third monkey said: "The other half is bigger. Let me eat some of the big part so it will be equal."

But he ate more that it become smaller than the other. the third monkey then said. " Oh, this one is smaller than the other, let me eat the excess part.

The Black Book

One day, a young guy was walking on a dark street.  Suddenly, out of an Acacia tree, an old man wrapped in a black robe appeared.
His eyes were fierce, his face pale, his beard unkempt.  He pushed a black book towards the young man and ordered, “You need to read this book!  Buy it for P700.”

The young man was shocked and mumbled, “I don’t have P700…”

But the elderly man spoke with a louder voice, “You need to read this book!
Give me P700.”  So with shaking hands, the lad fumbled with his wallet and handed P700 to him.

The mysterious man placed the black book in the chap’s hand and said, “Whatever you do, never look at the last page.  Or you will regret it.”  He then walked towards the field behind them and suddenly disappeared!

The young man went home, shaken to the core.  In the evening, he started reading the book.  It was all about ghosts and werewolves and vampires!  After awhile, he grew tired, closed the book and went to bed.

But he couldn’t sleep.  Tossing and turning, the young man could only think of one thing: What was on the last page of the book?  What will I regret seeing there?

Finally, he couldn’t take the suspense any longer.  With every ounce of courage he could muster, he grabbed the black book.  With trembling fingers, he opened it to the last page…

And when he saw it, at once, waves of regret filled him!
The last page was empty.

Except for a small note that said, “P49.50, National Bookstore.”
